Firstly, Regional Convention on European integration (2014-2015), implemented by the European Movement in Montenegro, in partnership with European Movement in Albania and European Movement in Serbia, supported financially by German Stability Pact and International Visegrad Fund, was the initiating platform of non-governmental organizations from Western Balkan and Visegrad Group with the overall goal to contribute to fostering of EU approximation of the Western Balkans countries. Specific emphasis was given to strengthen capacities of both state and civil sector dealing with the process of EU integration and to raise the level of IPA absorption capacities in WB.

Currently, the “Let the Justice Rule the Region” action, implemented under the MATRA programme of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands within the period 2022-2025, has continued this vision by establishing a regional network of civil society organisations promoting European values from Albania, North Macedonia, and Serbia, respectively European Movement in Albania, European Movement in North Macedonia and National Convention on the European Union in Serbia. Its aim is to increase the level of democratisation by actively monitoring topics covered by Cluster 1 – Fundamentals and providing valuable recommendations. The project was created as a synergy with the framework of the National Convention on European Integration, which is a platform for participatory debate and consultation, already implemented in Albania, North Macedonia, and Serbia by the aforementioned CSOs in these countries
