The Regional Plenary Session of the “Let the Justice Rule the Region” initiative took place in Tirana on December 19, 2024, jointly organised with the National Convention on European Integration, implemented by the European Movement in Albania since 2014. The technical panels of this event emerged as a synergy between Albanian, Macedonian and Serbian experts, involved in all the technical panels of the plenary session. The focus was on advancing rule of law reforms, assessing progress on Chapters 23 and 24, and strengthening governance in relation to Chapters 5, 18, and 31 of Cluster I – Fundamentals. Indeed, through all these forums, a call for a harmonious action and coordinated consensus has emerged from the beginning for the countries of the region and an extraordinary interest has been paid to solving in an articulated manner the rule of law, human rights, and good governance challenges. These discussions have accentuated the need for focused planning and targeted interventions as imperatives to advance the region toward its European aspirations.
