The Minister of European Integration Ms Klajda Gjosha and the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship Mr Arben Ahmetaj had a working meeting with the Director-General for Enlargement at the European Commission, Mr Christian Danielsson.

The Ministers appreciated the commitment and assistance that the European Commission has been providing to Albania to advance the reforms, particularly in addressing the five key priorities that must be fulfilled until the opening of negotiations.

The meeting focused on the importance of accelerated implementation of the justice reform, since it would be a great push to Albania’s EU integration efforts. Meetings of the Working Groups tasked with monitoring the progress in the implementation of the five key priorities were also part of the discussions, with a particular emphasis on their effective coordination.
